Subaru of America has recently announced an innovative new safety system that will be unveiled at the New York International Auto Show. The Eyesight System will debut on the 2013 Legacy and Outback models, and will later be equipped on other products in the Subaru line up. Proctor Subaru is happy to let all of our Subaru shoppers know about this new feature before its debut.
The new EyeSight system integrates a number of key safety features. Adaptive cruise control, pre-collision braking, and vehicle lane departure warning all work together to provide maximum protection on the road.
How does this safety system work? EyeSight uses two cameras, specially developed for Subaru; Eyesight is mounted inside the car on the upper edge of the windshield. This helps to reduce the potential for damage more so than bumper-mounted cameras, such as radar.
